John Lynn
John Lynn was born in Australia in 1956 and is a retired Queensland school teacher with 37 years’ experience. He has worked in primary and high schools both in the classroom and in administration including contract work with State and Federal Governments. He has spent much of his time in “support” roles after completing post graduate studies in Special Education at Griffith University in 1991.
Being a keen musician, he has played piano and guitar in a number of bands over the last 45 years and operated a PA and light business through the 80’s and 90’s. His involvement within the community in and around Woodford Qld has had him run a number of open mic events including “jammit Woodford”, for almost six years and a blues open mic called “Blues Connection”, for two years. He was the president of the swimming club for two years and the Chairman of the Stony Creek Rural Fire Brigade for 13 years.
He speaks at events and small group meetings from the Gold Coast to Sunshine Coast including free information nights at various council libraries sharing fundamentals and tips for households on practical ways families can reduce their energy consumption.
